Surfing Baby
Every Monday our ward offers a park day, where we all get together and kids can play at the park with other kids they already know. Today, since it is so dang hot, we did a pool day instead. One of the other mom's brought a boogie board for he son. Aaron was sitting on top of it just playing with strap, and then all of a sudden he decided to stand up. He was stading up, by himself, for a good two minutes, if not longer. He was surfing!!! It was so cute, but since I was in the water with him, I, unfortunately did not get any pictures of it.

Wait. What, we have a blog? Oh yeah, we DO have a bolg.
So, we're obviously really bad at updating this blog on a weekly basis. Last time we posted anything Aaron was almost two months old. He is now almost 13 months. So...yeah, sorry about that. As you can imagine, a lot has happened since then. Aaron learned many new things such as rolling over, sitting up, crawling, standing, walking, eating solid foods, saying a few words, etc.
We also got Disneyland passes and go at least once a month. Aaron loves to go on the rides, but most of all he loves the characters. His favorite is Mickey Mouse. He also likes Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore.
Our ward offers a bunch of fun day time activities for us like park day and music makers. Aaron loves going to the park to play with his friends, or just with Mommy and Daddy. He also loves the water, which makes bath time that much easier. He has so much fun in the pool.
We will try to be better about our updates. Until next time. Bye bye.

Having a Baby Leaves No Time for Blogging
Hello Friends,
So some of you have emailed us as to why we have not kept our word about posting updates every Sunday. There is only one explanation for this. Aaron! Yes, we know that it is kinda shady blaming our flakyness on our almost eight week old, but hey we only state the facts and he can't defend himself.
Actually, things have just been crazy around here. Let's start with what happendon Sept. 27. Aaron received his first Priesthood blessing from Josh. He also officially received his name in the Church as Aaron Ryan Insalaco. Thanks to Audrey Munton, Aaron's Great Grandmother, we have some of the blessing below.

"...Aaron, Heavenly Father loves you and blesses you to live in the gospel. He blesses you to be guided by the spirit. Prepare at a young age to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Make choices to be righteous to go on a mission. Be happy and comforted that you are loved and appreciated. We bless you to find a perfect match to be sealed for time and all eternity. You will be called to special callings and accept them. All these blessings Heavenly Father wishes to bestow upon you..."
One of the coolest parts about that weekend was the fact that so much family was in town to support our family. It was also really awesome to see Aaron meet (well be held by) most of our family like the following:
Grandma (Josh's Mom)
Aunt Kimi
Great Grandma Munton
Great Grand Papa Munton
Cousin Bella- They kinda look like Brother and Sister. Probably the cutest pic.
Grandpa (Christina's Step Dad)
Great Uncle Mark and Great Uncle Jamie
Great Grandma Anderson
Papa
Aunt Nina (Not related by blood, but family all the same)
Basically on the day of the blessing, everyone was playing a game of pass the baby. You may notice that Mommy and Daddy are not in any of these pics. Aaron get's us all the time. He was ready for an upgrade.
After that, family went home and we thought that things were going to settle down. They did for about two days. The next week, Christina had to spend some time in the Emergency room due to an allergic reaction. We still do not know what caused it, but are happy to report that she is fine.
Aaron had his "two month" check-up at 6 weeks. He weighed in at 10lbs 11 oz and is now 23 in. After that, things really did slow down.
On Tuesday, he will be eight weeks old. Time has gone by so fast. It seems like everyday he is growing and developing. The thing that melts the heart is when he smiles. He seems to really respond to us now. In fact, the other day, we noticed that he was following Josh as Josh walked around the room. So cool.
Well, that's about it for right now. Below are some more fun pics. Enjoy. See ya next week. (Hopefully : ) )
Aaron really like his bathtime. How do you like the censorship?
Ah, Aaron sleeping. Almost the best thing ever.
Aaron is revolting against Mommy. He is so tough. Roar.
Nice Pic of Christina and Aunt Briana (Aaron is like a baby Kangaroo)
Great Grandma Linda
Nice pic of Daddy and Aaron
Look, Daddy looks like Aaron
Aaron is ready for the Playoffs
The funniest picture so far. Have a good night.

Trauma and a Blessing
So this week may not have been that eventful for Josh, but for Aaron and I, we had quite a bit happen. All of our excitement mainly happened on Friday. I was feeding Aaron, and all of a sudden the entire contents of his stomach emptied onto me, the bed, and everything else. So I cleaned that up, finished feeding him, and put him down for a nap.
When he woke up I needed a new place to feed him again. We went out to the front room and I placed him on a pillow on the couch. I then walked over to turn on the light, and when I turned around he was tilting over the side of the couch and continued to slip and fall and landed right on the top of his head. I freaked out, of course. He screamed and screamed. I felt like the worst mom in the entire world.
After close inspection, Aaron is fine, and I realize now that if I had placed him on the pillow nearer to the couch rather than in the middle of the pillow this probably would never have happened. Hindsight really is 20/20. Needless to say, I will not be doing that again.

Yesterday was the baby blessing for my cousin Kayleigh's baby, Nathan. It was really fun to spend time with them and to see the two babies together. We figured out that Aaron and Nathan are about 38 hours apart. I also got a cute photo of the daddies and their sons.
